Schools in An Giang start and end before 8am

The Department of Education and Training of An Giang province has just issued an official dispatch on implementing a number of activities before school starts, at the beginning of the school year and guiding the organization of the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year.

In preparation for the new school year, the Department of Education and Training requires leaders of units and schools to deploy and organize well the activities before the school year begins. Units must speed up the renovation of facilities and coordinate with local health agencies to clean and disinfect the entire school campus.

The Department also requires units to widely post the list of textbooks and organize the handover of textbooks to students at the beginning of the grade flexibly, in accordance with conditions and regulations.

For the activities at the beginning of the school year, the Department of Education and Training requires leaders of units and schools to strengthen political and ideological education for teachers, staff and students right at the beginning of the school year. Continue to effectively implement the goal of "fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration".

Units and schools organize activities to welcome students. In which, all students and trainees (Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary, High School, Continuing Education) return to school on August 29. Particularly for grades 1, 9, and 12, they return to school on August 22.

Schools organize to welcome students at the beginning of the grade to school to get acquainted with teachers and friends; guide students to quickly integrate into the new learning and training environment; must create trust, motivation to study and a joyful, exciting atmosphere in the school and classroom.

According to the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, all schools in the province will organize the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year on the morning of September 5, "National Day of Taking Children to School", at the same time as the Ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year at the National Convention Center.

At the Opening Ceremony, the Department requested schools to organize a concise ceremony, ending before 8:00 a.m. From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., all delegates, teachers and students will fully participate in the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

For preschool level, schools can arrange for students to attend online programs in the classroom; TVs and teachers can be arranged to look after and care for the children.

The Department of Education and Training also requested units to hang flags and banners in solemn locations of schools from August 30; fully prepare transmission lines and online connection equipment; ensure traffic safety, security and order, and fire prevention and fighting during the ceremony.
