State Bank - Branch Region 7 awarded 5 billion VND to support housing construction for poor households

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of August 8, at the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the State Bank - Branch 7 presented 5 billion VND to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in the province.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Phuong received 5 billion VND supported by the State Bank - Branch Region 7.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Tran The Hung, Director of the State Bank - Branch Region 7, said: Responding to the call of the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Banking Trade Union has launched a movement for officials, union members and employees in the entire banking system to donate at least 1 day's salary to join the banking industry in "Joining hands to eliminate 1,000 temporary and dilapidated houses" nationwide.

For Thanh Hoa province, the banking sector always accompanies, actively participates, and is responsible for local social security activities. Implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the 2 years of 2024-2025 and the movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, on this occasion, cadres, workers, civil servants, union members, and employees of the banking sector supported Thanh Hoa province with 5 billion VND.

According to Mr. Tran The Hung, Director of the State Bank - Branch Region 7, this is an extremely meaningful activity and also an opportunity for union members and employees of the banking industry to continue to express their feelings and ethics of "When drinking water, remember its source", "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", so that each house is built not only with material things but also with love and sharing from the whole community.

In the coming time, the Banking sector commits to continue to accompany Thanh Hoa province in implementing social security work in general, the movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in particular, joining hands to help disadvantaged households, contributing to improving people's lives.

From this source of support, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will report to the Provincial Steering Committee to promptly allocate and support poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties, with the spirit of "leaving no one behind", striving for the goal of completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province in 2025.
