Social Policy Bank disburses loans to 1,620 households to restore production

On September 20, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) Quang Ninh Branch informed that from central and local capital sources, from September 8 (after storm No. 3) to now, the unit has disbursed loans to 1,620 households with an amount of VND 108.7 billion.

Among these, many households affected by storm No. 3 borrowed capital to overcome the damage, restore production and develop the economy .

In the coming time, the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh Branch, will continue to focus capital resources to prioritize loan disbursement for households, areas and localities affected by the storm to ensure full satisfaction of needs.

In addition, the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh Branch, also extended the debt and adjusted the repayment period for loans due from September 2024. The maximum normal term is 12 months for short-term loans and a maximum of 1/2 of the loan term for medium and long-term loans.

To facilitate the bank to further support households affected by the storm, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province assigned departments and branches to preside over and coordinate in developing and promptly completing the draft resolution on loan interest rate support and additional lending policies at the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh Branch.

The Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh Branch, informed that there are currently 12,709 households borrowing policy credit with a total outstanding debt of VND 741 billion that were damaged by storm No. 3 in Quang Ninh province. For these households, the unit will temporarily stop collecting interest until December 31, 2024.
