On July 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in collaboration with Quang Trung Software Park (QTSC) and the BambuUP innovation connection platform organized the Ho Chi Minh City Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Head of the Cyber Security Center - QTSC, said that AI is developing rapidly, becoming smarter and more popular. The majority of internet users today use at least 2 AI tools among many tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok... However, the rapid development of AI technology also poses great risks when cybercriminals take advantage of AI to create deepfake videos , send sophisticated, hard-to-detect phishing emails. Notably, Google recently introduced Veo 3 - an AI model capable of creating videos with high fidelity, difficult to distinguish with the naked eye.
"AI is becoming a powerful arm of hackers to create many ransomware variants and attack on a large scale. No field is immune, from banking, healthcare to public administration. Therefore, in addition to security knowledge and skills, businesses need to proactively invest in appropriate protection solutions," Mr. Lam recommended.
Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh, Director of Alena Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Alena Energy), said that AI is being used to recognize faces, print reports and send data to operating departments. It is predicted that in the near future, AI will continue to be upgraded, allowing for real-time processing and sending of reports. With the rapid development of AI, there needs to be a legal framework to control the use of this technology, preventing the risk of being tracked, data leakage or being exploited for malicious purposes.
