Bugatti has officially unveiled the Brouillard one-off supercar. This is the first project under the Programme Solitaire, inspired by Bugatti's 20th century coachbuilding tradition. The car was designed for Dutch businessman Michel Perridon, a collector of classic and modern Bugatti models. The name Brouillard (French for “Fog”) refers to founder Ettore Bugatti’s beloved horse, a subtle tribute to his passion.
In terms of design, the Bugatti Brouillard can be considered a coupe variant of the W16 Mistral hypercar that debuted in Monterey in 2022. While the Mistral has a soft top, the Brouillard is equipped with a fixed hard top with a panoramic sunroof. The body is covered in a matte blue paint combined with dark patches at the bottom, creating a strong look. The distinctive highlight is the fixed “ducktail” spoiler, reminiscent of the unique Chiron Profilée model. Inside the cabin is a combination of Parisian tartan and unique green carbon fiber, both luxurious and individual. The seats are handcrafted according to the owner's measurements, with the backrest embroidered with a sophisticated Brouillard horse.
The image of this horse is also repeated in many other details such as the door panels, the crystal gear lever or the badge behind the seats. On the footrest, the words "Brouillard 1/1" emphasize the uniqueness of this masterpiece. Powering the Brouillard is an 8.0L, 4-turbocharged W16 engine that produces 1,600 horsepower. The engine comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a full-time 4-wheel drive system, similar to the configuration on Bugatti's famous hypercars. Before Brouillard, Bugatti made its mark with rare projects such as Divo (40 cars), Centodieci (10 cars) or the one-off La Voiture Noire worth more than 19 million USD.
With the Solitaire Programme, Bugatti plans to produce a maximum of two cars per year, while maintaining the legendary W16 engine in future projects. Bugatti has not announced the price of the Brouillard, but the car is considered a testament to the philosophy of infinite personalization, bringing the owner to "the pinnacle of the most unique desires".
