On the morning of October 5, the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association organized a training course on "Television interview skills" for more than 70 officials, reporters, and editors of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, Hai Duong Newspaper, and Radio Stations of districts, towns, and cities in the province.
At the training session, the trainees listened to Dr. Nguyen Nga Huyen, Deputy Head of the Department of Communication, Faculty of Marketing and Communication, School of Business Administration (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) convey a lot of necessary information for the process of making television interviews.
According to Dr. Nguyen Nga Huyen, television interviewing activities are currently facing many challenges. These include competition from social media platforms; competition in terms of fast information speed; feedback from audiences and social media; technological challenges, etc.
From that reality, it is required that today's television reporters must research and prepare in-depth content (context, topic, characters, ask good, sharp questions); update modern television technology; understand multi-platform communication; promote on social networks, interact with the public; understand audience tastes and needs.
Dr. Nguyen Nga Huyen also helped participants distinguish between interview works/genres and interviewing skills; the content to prepare for each interview; situations that arise during interviews and how to handle them...
At the training session, Dr. Nguyen Nga Huyen raised many relevant questions, opening up for the trainees to discuss the process of working on local television interviews. Analyzing television interview programs for the trainees to learn from experience.
