This morning, June 9, at the exam site of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, a photo of a male student leading his little sister to the school gate, asking volunteers to look after her and feed her breakfast so she could get to the exam room on time, has "caused a storm" on social networks, especially on groups for parents and students in Hanoi.
According to Thanh Nien reporter's investigation, the male student is Nguyen Manh Duc, a 9A3 student at Dich Vong Hau Secondary School (Cau Giay District), taking the entrance exam for 10th grade specialized in IT.
While most students are taken to and from school by their parents, Duc, despite being busy taking the most important exam in his student life, still does not forget his duty as an older brother to his beloved younger sister.
Nguyen Manh Duc took his little sister to the gate of the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School exam site and asked the volunteers to look after her so that he could take the 10th grade exam.

Many comments expressed gratitude and sympathy for this candidate, because before the exam there was not only competition and pressure but also love. Many commented that this was the most touching image of this year's exam season.
A parent whose child attends the same school as Duc wrote: "Every day when I take my child to school, I see Duc taking his younger sibling to school on his bicycle with a loving and caring look. He is always a role model for my two younger siblings."
Another comment: "I met this friend who took me to school by bike and one day I met the two brothers at the year-end program and commendation ceremony in Cau Giay District."
An account named Huong Luong Thu wrote: "So touching. She also has a brother who matured early like me. Her brother has 3 younger siblings and until now he is still the support of his siblings and the support of the whole family"...
There were also "rains of compliments" for the male student just through this quiet image, such as: "Good student and obedient. Surely you will succeed. Thank you teachers of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School for teaching and creating such lovely students."
The special student
Confirming information about Nguyen Manh Duc, a representative of Dich Vong Secondary School said that during the two exams on June 7 and 8, and many times on school days, Duc brought his younger sister along because her mother was working a shift and could not return on time.
The story of this male student is also very special. He is 4 years older than this year's contestant. Born in 2006, but due to family circumstances, Duc had to stop studying in the middle of the first semester of grade 8.
When Duc was accepted back to school after a period of interruption, he had to continue studying the new generaleducation program instead of the 2006 program when he left school. But his determination made him try much harder than his friends.
Duc was honored for many outstanding achievements at the closing ceremony of the last school year.

Thanks to that, Duc is a student with very good academic performance, achieving excellent results in both grades 8 and 9. In particular, in grade 9, he achieved outstanding results, was also a member of the school's math team; was honored at the year-end ceremony as one of the outstanding students because he achieved the highest scores in math, literature, and English in the block... In the recent 10th grade entrance exam, Duc did very well on the exam.
On the fanpage of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School, when posting an article about this student, there was a paragraph that said: "The school is proud of Nguyen Manh Duc, a student who is not only talented, but also thoughtful and kind. Thank you for reminding us that maturity is when we know how to care for others, even when we are struggling for our own dreams.
Amidst the tense atmosphere of the transfer exam, Duc's little story sowed warmth and silent admiration in people's hearts. He showed that: courage does not only come from scores, but also from the way we face situations, with initiative, kindness and love."
