This is an event in a series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. The exhibition takes place from October 5 to 12, 2024 in a space of more than 1,000m2 at the Cultural and Artistic Center at 22 Hang Buom, with 70 bonsai works symbolizing the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) by artisans from all 3 regions of the North - Central - South. The event is organized by the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter in coordination with the Old Quarter Bonsai Club to help the public enjoy unique works of art.

This activity also aims to honor the ornamental plant industry in Vietnam. Not only introducing and promoting the cultural beauty of the capital's people to domestic and foreign tourists, but also honoring the artisans in the ornamental plant industry in Hanoi as well as other provinces and cities across the country. The bonsai artisans bring their lifelong passion and dedication to spread to all visitors.

The event was divided by the Organizing Committee into 3 main areas: an exhibition area, recreating the cultural, historical and artistic beauty of Hanoi's 36 streets; an area sharing techniques and knowledge about the hobby of bonsai of Hanoians past and present; an area displaying impressive bonsai works.

The most prominent and popular area for visitors is the display area of bonsai pots with unique and lively shapes, meticulously shaped and cared for by artisans with their golden hands. Each tree shape has different meanings and feng shui, helping viewers not only enjoy but also contemplate many profound meanings about life, bringing many emotions to visitors.

The organization of the exhibition space attracts people and tourists to visit and contemplate the beauty of Vietnamese landscapes. Visitors to the Cultural and Artistic Center are not only middle-aged people with deep thoughts about culture and the meaning of each work, but also young people and international tourists who are also excited to visit the exhibition space.

The event “Bonsai Art Exhibition” is a meaningful activity, creating conditions and opportunities for groups and clubs of bonsai artists from all over the country to meet, exchange and share experiences to improve their qualifications and skills to create more valuable bonsai art works. It also raises awareness, consciousness of protecting, preserving, conserving, promoting and developing the image of the land and people of Hanoi to friends from all over the world.
