Nghe An Border Guard Command has established working groups to respond to and overcome consequences in key areas.

At many Border Guard stations such as My Ly, Na Loi, Muong Ai, Thong Thu... floodwaters have deeply inundated houses, work areas, and caused serious landslides, threatening the safety of forces, weapons, and equipment.

In particular, My Ly Border Guard Station was flooded up to 1.5 m, Na Loi Station had a landslide of nearly 1,000 m3 of earth and rock near the command area. Currently, many areas and Border Guard units have lost power grids and phone signals, making communication extremely difficult.

The floods collapsed and swept away 6 houses, forcing the evacuation of more than 160 households in border communes such as Nhon Mai, My Ly, Thong Thu, and Tri Le. Dozens of landslides on national and provincial highways caused serious traffic jams, completely cutting off many communes and border posts.

Now that the rain has decreased, the Nghe An Border Guard Command has established frontline working groups to directly direct response and overcome consequences in key areas, deploying forces on duty 24/7, ensuring absolute safety for people and officers and soldiers.

Also on July 23, the Border Guard coordinated with local authorities, family and functional forces to find the body of Ms. Ly Y Denh, 70 years old, residing in Huoi Poc village, Nam Can commune, swept away by flood water 50 meters from the location where she was swept away.
