India Today reported on June 8 that the Miss World Organizing Committee announced that the 71st edition will be held in India, instead of the UAE as previously announced. This means that the contestants will have to change their travel schedules compared to the original.
Julia Morley and reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska meet with representatives of the organization that will be in charge of organizing the contest in India.
The latest announcement also said that the competition will take place around November or December this year.
"India's traditions, culture and history give the country a unique beauty, with its fascinating landscapes, iconic landmarks and welcoming hospitality.
The Miss World 2023 pageant in India will promote volunteer work through activities, inspiring contestants to create positive influences in the community and contribute to society," the Organizing Committee wrote.
Speaking more about this year's season, President Julia Morley revealed that the competition activities will be very rigorous, including talent competitions, sports challenges and charity initiatives. Contestants from different countries have about 5-6 months to perfect all their skills.
Miss Mai Phuong will compete in Miss World 2023 at the end of this year.
To date, more than 91 contestants have confirmed their participation in Miss World 2023. Vietnam's representative is the reigning Miss World Vietnam 2022 - Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong.
According to the crew, the beauty is still actively practicing to prepare the most complete luggage for the international arena. With her beauty and preparations over the past year, fans expect Mai Phuong to make a difference in this year's competition.
Participating in Miss World 2023, Mai Phuong has established a company to sell T-shirts, all profits will be used for charity purposes. Of which, a part will be contributed to the charity fund of the Miss World organization, the remaining profits will be used to carry out Mai Phuong's charity projects in Vietnam.
The beauty queen is increasingly perfect in appearance and skills.
Along with Miss Universe, Miss World is one of the two biggest beauty pageants on the planet. Founded in 1951, the contest aims to find a girl with a kind beauty and spread positive things to the community.
This year, the 70th Miss World Karolina Bielawska will crown her successor.
According to Missosology, since November 2022, British businessman Dipendra Gurung co-owns the Miss World organization with Ms. Julia Morley.
