Messi: 'Ronaldo and I are not friends'

Superstar Lionel Messi said that he and Ronaldo are not friends. However, they always respect each other.

Messi said in an interview with Dsports after Inter Miami defeated Porto: "I have a lot of respect and admiration for Ronaldo, as well as the career he is having.

At 40, Ronaldo is still competing at the highest level. In fact, my competition with Ronaldo only takes place on the pitch.

What we want is to bring the best to our team."

"Off the pitch, Ronaldo and I are just two normal people. We are not friends because we have never spent time together. But we treat each other with the utmost respect," Messi added.

In the past, Ronaldo and Messi sat next to each other and made an appointment to have dinner at the 2019 European Footballer of the Year awards ceremony. However, up to this point, this awaited meeting has not yet happened.
