A gift of gratitude for the soldier
The special art program "Immortal Stone Citadel" was written by People's Artist Tran Binh and directed by Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang.
The program is a profound tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. Through the performances, the program arouses gratitude, pride and reminds today's generation of the value of peace ; educates the tradition of patriotism and revolution for cadres, party members and all classes of people, especially the young generation.
The art program "Immortal Stone Citadel" will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 27 at the Hanoi Opera House.
With the theme "Paying tribute to soldiers with sounds", the music night will bring the audience back to the heroic but also tragic memories of a time of bombs and bullets, when millions of ordinary people joined the fight for independence and freedom. They are the "immortal stone ramparts" - symbols of strength, solidarity and indomitable will that have created pages of history that make the whole world bow in admiration.
July is the month of gratitude, a time to remind every Vietnamese person to remember those who sacrificed their youth, happiness and even their lives for the country to survive. In each melody and lyrics of the music night, the image of young soldiers in their twenties leaving without a return date will be recreated, wounded soldiers leaving a part of their flesh and blood on the battlefield, mothers and wives silently enduring the pain and loss while comforting themselves that during the day they are white clouds in the sky, at night they turn into sparkling stars will be recreated.
Not just an art program, "Immortal Stone Rampart" is an opportunity for today's generation to remember, cherish and remind themselves to live up to the noble sacrifice of their fathers and brothers. Director of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater, Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang, said that the music night was elaborately staged with many touching and humane performances, expressing patriotism, national pride and the desire to preserve peace. The clear sounds and heroic spirit will be conveyed by the artists with all their emotions and respect.

"Immortal Stone Rampart" is also a meaningful gift that the audience can give to their parents and grandparents - those who were soldiers and experienced the fierce years of war. From there, the program arouses in each person a strong national pride and the desire to build a strong, peaceful and developed Vietnam.
Bridge between past and present
More than just a music night, this is a journey back to memories, a bridge connecting the past with the present, to show gratitude, to remember and to foster faith in following in the footsteps of our ancestors.
As an artist participating in this special art program, People's Artist Hong Hanh shared: "After more than 30 years of being involved in art and bringing songs to serve soldiers and people across the country, I always consider it a great honor. Although my current job as the head of the Army Music and Dance Theater is very busy, I still have a burning desire to fully dedicate my singing as an artist - soldier to revolutionary art and to the soldiers who sacrificed for the Fatherland. Therefore, participating in the Immortal Stone Citadel art program on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day is a great honor and also a sacred responsibility that I always cherish."

In the program, I will perform the song "Ki Uc Dien Bien" - this is a work with many special emotions. Each lyric and melody seems to bring me back to the historical days of the glorious Dien Bien Phu campaign, where the indomitable spirit and sacrifice of the soldiers made the resounding victory. When singing the songs, I feel my heart filled with pride and emotion".
