Many people probably know that kite flying used to be mostly in the countryside with vast fields. However, in recent years, people in the city, both young and old, have seen kite flying quite a lot in densely populated cities. In the past, in the countryside, kites were mainly made of paper. You can find out for yourself or ask your siblings or parents to help you make one. Just cut and paste a piece of paper onto a small bamboo frame, along with a few graceful tails, add a spool of thread, fishing line or string to the kite body, and you have a kite flying in the wind.

If you want the kite to be more splendid and attractive, you can use green - red - purple - yellow colored paper to make the kite or paste a piece of glossy paper, draw a picture of a stork or a bird on the kite. The more elaborate the kite is, the more fluttering and colorful the shape will be when mixed with the sun and wind. Kites in the countryside can be flown in the fields, on village roads or in mountainous areas. The kite filled with the wind of the countryside has become the subject of many articles, poems, music, and even in paintings, photography... However, the deepest impression of kites is in the childhood soul of each person; after afternoons of flying kites, at night when lying down to sleep, in dreams the kite still flies high...
In the countryside, paper kites are still available, but buying fabric kites to play with is also popular. There are many places selling fabric kites, along with many street vendors with carts hanging colorful kites, fluttering in the wind. And the best place for kites is still the vast sky, with beautiful, proud tails in the air as if wanting to reach the stars...
In some places now, people have invested in kite manufacturing facilities, with dozens to hundreds of workers, producing thousands of fabric kites every day. Talking about the richness of colors and designs of fabric kites, they are probably better than real paper kites, because the color printing and design of kites has become a technology! From kites with the pure shape of normal paper kites, to those shaped like fish, peacocks, dragons, phoenixes, and even airplanes, superheroes or images of the latest characters in foreign comics. The price of fabric kites now ranges from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dong, depending on the size and elaborate, complex design of the kite. And many parents and siblings are willing to withdraw money to buy the biggest and most beautiful kites to fly them into the sky, swaying with the wind from morning to night.
Don't think that kite flying is only for our age, there are many adults now who also fly kites with their children in the afternoon, or sometimes just for themselves to enjoy, as a way to relax after tiring working hours, as if wanting to release the stress of the city and life. Adults or children, children or adults, paper kites or fabric kites, kites are still kites, freely flying in the sky, under the watchful eyes of many people.
From the place where kites contribute to the poetic beauty of the countryside, now kites have become a part of the soul of the city. Wherever there is vast land and high sky, where there are people rich in emotions, kites can easily fly up, twisting in the eyes of many people, carrying with them the dreams and aspirations that have passed or have not yet come true of people. Oh kites, fly up with the wind, regardless of whether it is the wind of the fields, the wind of the sea or the wind of the mountains, the wind of the forest, the wind of the city, the wind of the asphalt concrete road...
