As of 11:00 p.m. on July 21, several banks such as International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB), Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TPBank) and Phuong Dong Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( OCB ) have announced temporary suspension of operations at transaction points located in the area affected by storm No. 3.
In particular, VIB Bank announced the temporary suspension of operations for 17 transaction points, including branches/transaction offices in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Hung Yen on July 22.
In Hai Phong , VIB branches/transaction offices temporarily suspended operations include: Hai Phong Branch, Hong Bang Branch; transaction offices include Thuy Nguyen, Ngo Quyen, Le Chan, Bach Dang, Hai An and Lach Tray.
In Quang Ninh, VIB temporarily suspended the operations of two branches in Quang Ninh and Cam Pha, along with transaction offices in Uong Bi, Mao Khe, Bai Chay, Ha Long, and Cua Ong.
In Hung Yen, VIB also temporarily suspended operations of Thai Binh Branch and Le Quy Don Transaction Office (belonging to Thai Binh Branch) on July 22.
These transaction points are expected to resume normal operations on July 23.
At TPBank, this bank also announced the temporary suspension of service at some transaction points or TPBank LiveBank 24/7 due to the impact of storms.
Accordingly, from 4:00 p.m. on July 21, the areas that will stop serving customers are in Hai Phong City and Quang Ninh Province, including: TPBank To Hieu, TPBank Ngo Quyen (Hai Phong City); TPBank Cam Pha, TPBank Uong Bi (Quang Ninh).
For TPBank LiveBank 24/7 service, from 12:00 on July 21, TPBank has stopped providing this service in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh (LiveBank Thai Binh), Hung Yen and LiveBank Le Ngoc Han (Hanoi).
TPBank has not yet announced a specific time to reopen transaction points because it depends on the level of impact of the storm.

At OCB Bank, on July 22, branches and transaction offices temporarily suspended transactions including:
OCB Quang Ninh Branch, Cam Pha Transaction Office, Bai Chay Transaction Office, Uong Bi Transaction Office; Hai Phong Branch, Lach Tray Transaction Office, Le Chan Transaction Office, Ngo Quyen Transaction Office; Thai Binh Branch; Ha Nam Branch; Nam Dinh Branch, Y Yen Transaction Office, Hai Hau Transaction Office; Ninh Binh Branch, Ninh Son Branch, Gia Vien Transaction Office and Kim Son Transaction Office.
Banks said that while branches and transaction offices are closed, transactions via cards, mobile banking, and ATMs will still operate normally.
Branches and transaction offices not on the temporary suspension list are still operating normally.
During this time, the bank encourages customers to prioritize online transactions on digital banking.
