According to information from Bach Mai Hospital, recently, many people have reported that some private clinics use names similar to Bach Mai Hospital to advertise and approach patients. Some facilities even hang signs saying “affiliated with Bach Mai doctors” or call themselves “Bach Mai facility 2”, causing misunderstandings and seriously affecting the reputation of the country’s leading end-line hospital.
A male patient, born in 1961 in Bac Ninh , shared that he was once invited to receive a free examination at a facility calling itself “Bach Mai Facility II”. However, after arriving there, he and many others were diagnosed with a “serious illness”, then were introduced to buy medicine at a high price. “I am very upset because I was deceived” , he said.
According to the leader of Bach Mai Hospital, many fake names are currently quite popular such as: "Bach Mai General Clinic", "Bach Mai Surgical Clinic", "Bach Mai Testing", and even borrow the names of doctors who used to work at the hospital to gain people's trust.
A representative of Bach Mai Hospital confirmed: “The hospital has only one headquarters at 78 Giai Phong, Hanoi. We do not have any medical facilities, affiliations or branches outside this address.”
The hospital has also repeatedly issued notices warning people not to believe advertisements such as "after-hours examination by Bach Mai doctors", "Bach Mai branch 2"... if not verified from official sources.
With the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment, choosing the right place to place your trust is a vital factor. Impersonating facilities not only illegally profit but also pose a potential risk to people's health due to misdiagnosis and incorrect treatment.
Being vigilant and sharing information with relatives and friends will help the community avoid sophisticated tricks, contributing to protecting their own health and finances.
