In Group B, U23 Laos and Cambodia will face each other. These are also the two opponents of coach Kim Sang Sik and his team in the group stage of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. Therefore, the match will receive the attention of many Vietnamese fans. This match will help U23 Vietnam see clearly the opponents in the upcoming matches.

In theory, U23 Cambodia is rated higher than U23 Laos. However, the gap between the two teams is not too big, so U23 Laos can think about creating a surprise. The match between U23 Cambodia and Laos will take place at 5:00 p.m., broadcast live on VTV5 and FPT Play.

The Vietnam U23 team is currently the defending champion of the Southeast Asian U23 Championship.
