World Cup billiards schedule on July 2: Vietnam champion takes the field, promising drama

3 Vietnamese players entered the fourth qualifying round with the top position in the group

In the third qualifying round of the Porto 2025 Billiards World Cup, which took place from the afternoon of July 1 to the early morning of July 2, Vietnam had three billiard players competing: Thon Viet Hoang Minh, Nguyen Chi Long and Dao Van Ly. All three Vietnamese players won and won tickets to the fourth qualifying round with the top position in the group. Meanwhile, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu was given a special place in the fourth qualifying round.

Nguyen Chi Long is in group D with Glenn Hofman (Netherlands) and Serdal Bas (Türkiye). In the opening match, Chi Long will face Serdal Bas at 4 p.m. (Vietnam time).

Thon Viet Hoang Minh is in Group J with Jorrissen (Netherlands) and Roland Forthomme (Belgium). Dao Van Ly is in Group K with Hwang Bong-joo (South Korea) and Gokhan Salman (Türkiye). Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu is in Group L with Omer Karakurt (Türkiye) and Alexander Salazar (Colombia). Hoang Minh, Van Ly and Thanh Tu will all start at 5:30 p.m.

Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu is the current Vietnamese champion in 3-cushion carom.
