The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just signed Decision No. 3981 to list the Hue Nam Temple Festival (a traditional festival) in Huong Tho Commune, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Hue Nam Temple Festival is usually held in the third and seventh lunar months every year.

Hue Nam Temple Festival is usually held in the third and seventh lunar months every year, and is considered a traditional activity with spiritual and cultural elements to worship the Holy Mother Thien YA Na.

The festival attracts a large number of followers of the Mother Goddess religion with tens of thousands of people from various provinces and cities attending. This is also considered a traditional folk cultural festival with a community character typical of the ancient capital of Hue.

The festival activities are mostly held at the Hue Nam Palace relic, also known as Hon Chen Palace, located on the upper reaches of the Huong River through Huong Tho commune, Hue city.

The festival is a traditional activity with spiritual cultural elements worshiping the Holy Mother Thien YA Na.

According to Decision No. 3979, the craft of making Van Cu vermicelli in Huong Toan commune, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province was also listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

Van Cu vermicelli making is a famous traditional craft village, formed nearly 400 years ago. Currently, this profession has more than 100 households participating in production, supplying consumers and bringing a sustainable source of income for the people.

Three other intangible cultural heritages of Quang Binh are the full moon festival in March in Minh Hoa district (a traditional festival), Tuong boi singing in Hung Trach commune (Bo Trach) and Sac bua singing in Minh Hoa district and Dong Hoi city (a folk performing art) also became national intangible cultural heritages in this period.

The full moon festival in March in Minh Hoa district has entered the consciousness of the people and become a community cultural activity, crystallizing the unique culture of the mountainous countryside. The festival is held in the third lunar month every year, attracting a large number of tourists to experience the spiritual, cultural and artistic values.

Tuong Boi singing in Hung Trach commune and Sac Bua singing in Minh Hoa district and Dong Hoi city are unique folk art forms, preserved, conserved and developed by local people through many generations.

Khuong Ha (Hung Trach) Tuong Boi is organized in the form of a troupe of 13 to 18 people including a Tuong master (director), actresses, actors, clowns, and the roles of kings, lords, generals, soldiers, teachers, students, and the masses.

Tuong melodies have many styles such as nam ai, nam binh, nam dung, tau ma, sa mat, than, ha khac, noi loi, trong quan... bearing a strong traditional cultural identity. Especially in the pronunciation, the way of enunciating words that are slurred but decisive and strong of the people in Khuong Ha has created a special feature compared to other places.
