As one of the characters in episode 138, the situation of Vi Thao My (2010), a Tay ethnic, currently a 10th grade student at Chi Lang High School, Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province, has made many people feel sorry. My's mother died in 2013 due to a drowning accident. Before her death, her mother was a kindergarten teacher and took advantage of the summer vacation to go to Bac Giang to pick lychees for hire to earn extra income. When her mother passed away, My and her younger sister were still young. Since then, the two sisters have been cared for by their grandmother and father.

His wife passed away suddenly, and Mr. Vi Van Kem (1982) - My's father - has been supporting the family alone. The whole family only has 2.5 sao of rice fields, each crop yields about 200 kg of rice. Last year, he decided to reduce one rice crop to grow chili to improve income. However, farming on the high hills is extremely hard but the income is not high, often depending on the weather.

Guests and audiences at the studio could not hold back their tears at the plight of the children.

To earn more income, Mr. Kem worked as a construction worker, earning about 250,000 VND/day but it was not stable. The hard labor for a long time gradually caused his health to decline. He suffered from stomach pain, sometimes the pain was so bad that he could not do anything.

My's grandmother, Vi Thi Man (1948), is old and in poor health, but she still tries to go to the fields to help her son. On days when she cannot go to the fields, Mrs. Man stays home to take care of the chickens, hoping that when she is in need, she can sell them to make money to support her life.

Despite their difficult circumstances, My and her sister always try to excel in their studies. Their biggest wish is to continue going to school and gain knowledge to take care of their grandmother and father in the future. Thao My has a good academic record and dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher like her late mother. However, her path to school is not easy. Because the school is far from home and the road is dangerous, she has to stay with her siblings, her cousins, to make it easier for her to study. On weekends, she takes the bus home. As for her younger sister Vi Ngoc Mai, although the school is closer, she does not have a bicycle and has to walk every day.

Every month, the two sisters receive 700,000 VND in orphanage support, which helps to reduce the burden on their father and grandmother. Every time My sees her friends being picked up and dropped off at school by their parents, she feels sad. She wishes her mother were still alive, so she could hug her every day and the family would not be separated like now. But more than anyone, she understands that only studying can help her continue her mother's unfinished dream and take care of the family in her place.

Actor Truong Minh Cuong continuously comforted Thao My when he saw tears in her eyes. He encouraged My not to hide her feelings inside and to speak up whenever she missed her mother, to say she loved her mother as well as her father more. The actor also reminded young people to cherish the time they have with their parents and do things that are beneficial to society.

The situation of Thao My and her sister made the studio audience feel sorry.

As for actress Le Bong, she believes that maternal love is sacred and extremely important for a child, especially for two girls who are growing up - a stage when they really need their mother by their side. Le Bong hugged Thao My in sympathy and gave her many words of encouragement. Because Le Bong clearly remembers that when she was young, her family lived in a collective house, and her parents had to work hard day and night to earn an income. "On the night of the 30th of Tet, I saw my house flooded with wastewater. At that time, everyone used every way to sweep the wastewater out to clean up for Tet.", Le Bong said.

Actress Le Bong said that she also once wished to have her own room, a big house, and a study corner like her friends. However, she is not self-conscious and always tells herself that difficulties are the motivation for her to strive harder.

“When I was young, my family also went through many difficulties, but I always felt lucky because I still had both my parents by my side and a home full of love. I still remember clearly the times when my mother had severe headaches, but still tried to go to work, without a single day off. At that time, I felt so sorry, I just wanted to grow up quickly to be able to support my family, so that my parents could rest, without having to worry about anything. That image of my mother became an example for me to follow. In life, there were times when I thought I wanted to give up, but I remembered my mother, who had overcome so many difficulties without stopping. That was what helped me practice the habit of constantly striving. Not only striving for myself, but also to spread love and share with those around me. Le Bong said.

Because of that effort, she finally realized her dream of building a house for her parents. With her experiences, Le Bong wants the children in the program to dream and believe in themselves. She believes that perseverance and effort will help them achieve what they want. In addition to sharing and encouraging the characters, actors Truong Minh Cuong and Le Bong also contributed to the challenges, helping the children bring home valuable rewards from Hoa Sen Group .

After the challenges, Vi Thao My's family came in third, receiving a prize of 18 million VND. Pham Thi Loan's family came in second, receiving a prize of 22 million VND. Nguyen Thi Linh's family came in first, completing the special challenge and bringing home 60 million VND.

Sympathizing with the difficulties of the characters, Le Bong used her own money to give each family 5 million VND. Actor Truong Minh Cuong also gave each child a special gift. Singer Duc Phuc gave the two second and third place children 10 million VND each to encourage them. Donors and audiences from near and far who came to watch the program live also donated more than 130 million VND to the children.

Thus, in episode 138 of the program Vietnamese Family Home , the total amount of support given to families was up to nearly 300 million VND, of which 100 million VND was a bonus from Hoa Sen Group.

The program Vietnamese Family Warmth is broadcast at 20:20 every Friday on HTV7 channel. The program is produced by Bee Media Company in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Television, with the support of Hoa Sen Home Construction Materials & Interior Supermarket System (Hoa Sen Group) and Hoa Sen Plastic Pipe - Source of Happiness.
