The movement is organized with the spirit of "Basic, practical, appropriate, effective", comprehensively implemented for all subjects, focusing on non-commissioned officers, soldiers, and comrades who have little access to information technology before joining the army. The learning content includes: Identifying popular digital platforms; how to look up official information; creating accounts, using email; exploiting and using military software; security skills, preventing bad and toxic information on the network environment; using software to support learning and training management in the unit.

Colonel Nguyen Huu Dinh, Brigade Commander of Brigade 86, said: “Along with training content, equipping soldiers with digital skills is an inevitable requirement in building a modern Army. In the current context of rapid technological development, without proper orientation and training, soldiers can easily become confused, even attracted and negatively affected by cyberspace. The “popular digital education” movement not only equips soldiers with necessary digital knowledge and skills, but also arouses their own motivation in learning, practicing and applying technology, contributing to improving the quality of training and building discipline throughout the unit."
During the organization process, the "Digital Popularization" classes, in addition to disseminating, exchanging, sharing and providing information on digital transformation and digital skills, the unit always focuses on practical skills for soldiers. Selected as a pilot unit in the Brigade, Battalion 901 has proactively reviewed, screened, and classified each group of soldiers to determine appropriate training content and methods, and has organized initial training for soldiers to operate proficiently with computers and smartphones. Thereby, soldiers form the habit of self-studying and self-updating information, directly serving their work and daily life.

Sharing his feelings after attending the class, Private Nguyen Hong Binh (Platoon 1, Company 1, Battalion 901) said: “Through the “popular digital literacy” classes, I learned how to do administrative procedures; look up current news, look up legal documents such as the Law on National Defense, the Law on Military Service, know how to use word processing software; was equipped with digital security skills, protecting personal information in the online environment... This not only helps me perform my duties at the unit but is also a necessary skill for my future work and life.”
In order for the movement to spread strongly and bring practical results, Brigade 86 selects comrades with information technology capabilities, understanding of political , economic and social knowledge to organize guidance with easy-to-understand teaching methods, suitable for each target group, and the spirit of hand-holding and instruction. With high determination and strict implementation, we hope that every officer and soldier will have basic digital skills, be confident in living and working in the digital age, contributing to realizing the goal of building a digital unit, a smart, disciplined, modern unit and enhancing the comprehensive capacity and bravery of soldiers in the digital age.
