Temporarily stop accepting customs declarations from 10pm on June 30 to 5am on July 1

Accordingly, in an official dispatch sent to commercial banks, the State Treasury, the Tax Department, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, etc. , the Customs Department said that from June 30, it will deploy an information technology system to meet the requirements of the new organizational structure.

To prepare for system deployment, the Customs Department will temporarily stop accepting customs declarations from 10:00 p.m. on June 30 to 5:00 a.m. on July 1.

To comply with the arrangement of provincial administrative units, the Customs Department said that it has so far rearranged the management areas of 20 regional customs branches and directed units to carry out tasks to ensure smooth operations from July 1.

One of the important tasks that determines the success of customs operations to meet the arrangement of two-level local government is to urgently organize human and material resources to ensure the smooth operation of the information technology system, without causing congestion in customs clearance of goods for people and businesses.

Import-export value increased by more than 51 billion USD, estimated daily revenue of 1,850 billion VND

Regarding the import and export situation as of June 15, according to the Customs Department, the total turnover reached 390.91 billion USD, an increase of 15.3%, equivalent to 51.84 billion USD compared to the same period last year. Of which, the export value reached 197.88 billion USD, an increase of 23.88 billion USD. The import value reached 193.03 billion USD, an increase of 27.96 billion USD.

Vietnam's trade balance of goods accumulated to mid-June had a surplus of 4.84 billion USD.

Regarding budget revenue, customs policies to facilitate trade, increase logistics connectivity and apply technology in customs management have contributed significantly to helping Vietnamese goods maintain their competitiveness in the international market.

Thanks to that, the results of the first 6 months of the year have been very positive. The budget revenue for the first 6 months of this year is estimated at 221,500 billion VND. Thus, the average daily revenue is 1,850 billion VND, an increase of about 215 billion VND/day compared to the first 6 months of last year.
