Recently, in Madeira, Portugal, Vietnam was honored to receive the award for Asia's Best Golf Destination 2024 from the 11th World Golf Awards. This is the 8th consecutive time Vietnam has been honored at this award.
To achieve this title, Vietnam surpassed other leading candidates such as: Japan, China, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand.
Also at the award ceremony, the capital Hanoi was honored as "The World's Best Golf City Destination 2024".
The awards are the result of a year-long search for the world’s favorite golf tourism brands. Voting is conducted by golf experts, media and the public. The winner is the candidate with the most votes in a category.
Vietnam is considered an ideal golf destination in Asia with beautiful natural scenery and a tropical climate that is very favorable for investing in developing golf courses and golf tourism.
According to preliminary statistics, Vietnam has about 100 18-hole golf courses and practice grounds in operation, many of which meet international standards. Developing infrastructure and building golf tourism products is one of the key orientations in the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister.
To date, Vietnam has been voted Asia's Best Golf Destination 8 times and won the World's Best Golf Destination award twice. This affirms Vietnam's brand, attractiveness and position on the world golf tourism map.
