Bank interest rates today August 27, 2025: Top banks leading all terms

According to the State Bank's report on the developments in the currency market in the most recent week, August 18-22, overnight, 1-week, and 2-week interbank interest rates decreased by 0.02%/year; 0.03%/year; 0.12%/year to 4.47%/year; 4.66%/year and 4.99%/year, respectively.

The average VND deposit interest rate in July of domestic commercial banks was 0.1-0.2%/year for demand deposits and deposits with terms of less than 1 month; 3.3-4.0%/year for terms from 1 month to less than 6 months; 4.6-5.5%/year for terms from 6 months to 12 months; 4.9-6.1%/year for terms from over 12 months to 24 months.

Notably, the average deposit interest rate for terms over 24 months ranges from 6.9-7.3%/year.

According to a recent report by Bao Viet Securities Company (BVSC) on the currency market, deposit interest rates increased slightly in August compared to the deposit interest rates of previous months.

According to the online deposit interest rate table listed by banks, the highest interest rate for 1-2 month term is 4.35%/year listed by VCBNeo. This is also the bank that lists the highest savings interest rate for 3-5 month term deposits, up to 4.55%/year.

For the 6-month term, GPBank and Vikki Bank are the two banks listing the highest deposit interest rates, up to 5.65%/year.

GPBank lists the highest online savings interest rate for a 9-month term, at 5.75%/year.

At the 12-month term, GPBank and Vikki Bank continue to be the two leading banks in the market with bank interest rates of 5.95%/year.

Meanwhile, the highest 18-month online deposit interest rate belongs to HDBank with a listed interest rate of 6.1%/year.

Since the beginning of August, banks have adjusted deposit interest rates by adding interest rates for depositors.

In particular, MB Bank offers an additional interest rate of 0.3%/year for customers depositing money for a term of 1-6 months; Techcombank adds an interest rate of 0.5%/year for customers depositing money for a term of 3, 6, 12 months; Viet A Bank announces new interest rates for savings products, the highest being up to 6.8%/year.

Eximbank announced the expansion of its “Combo Casa” savings product with online deposits, the highest savings interest rate is 6%/year with a term of 18-36 months applicable to Infinite customers.

ABBank is the only bank that reduces interest rates by 0.1%/year for terms of 1-60 months.
