Although it has just been applied in the unit, the initiative of the automatic radio on/off device of Lieutenant Colonel Van Huu Hoa, Political Assistant, Hai Duong City Military Command is highly appreciated. This device helps soldiers save time, effort, and improve internal propaganda work. This is also one of the four typical initiatives of the Hai Duong Provincial Armed Forces participating in the Competition of Innovation and Improvement of Teaching Aid Models organized by Military Region 3 in early March 2024.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Commander of the Hai Duong City Military Command, in the past 5 years, the unit has launched a movement to innovate and improve teaching aid models in conjunction with the "Determined to Win" emulation movement. This is also considered a key and breakthrough step in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. From 2019 to present, the unit has 30 models and initiatives that have been researched, improved and widely applied in training and maintenance of weapons and equipment.
Recently, the Hai Duong City Military Command won first prize in the 2024 Training Preparation Competition organized by the Provincial Military Command. “With many specific solutions, including researching initiatives, improving teaching aids, and investing in training equipment, every year, 75% or more of the city's armed forces' training test results are good or excellent,” added Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hoang.
To raise awareness, attitude and responsibility of cadres and soldiers, the Party Committee of the Hai Duong City Military Command has identified the breakthrough task of this term as improving the quality of political and ideological education for cadres and soldiers. With the motto "the superiors set an exemplary example, the subordinates actively follow", the City Military Party Committee has issued a resolution on leadership and direction linking the responsibility of the Party Committee and commanders with the results of completing assigned tasks. Thereby, the results of performing tasks of each individual and collective have improved significantly. Every year, the unit has 100% of cadres and party members completing their tasks, of which 85% of party members complete their tasks excellently and well, with no party members violating discipline...
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hoang, the secret to "keeping the fire" in the emulation movement to win of the city's armed forces is to create bright spots and new features in performing tasks, making breakthroughs in training, rehearsals, competitions and sports events. After receiving the content and plan from the superiors, the Hai Duong City Military Command organized the selection of participating forces; built a scientific and rigorous training plan; invested time, funds, facilities... Thanks to that, many collectives and individuals achieved high results in competitions and sports events organized by the superiors. Typically, in 2023, the City Military Command won first prize in the Propaganda Contest on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers", resolutely fighting against individualism in the new situation. In 2024, the unit won first prize in the 2024 Hai Duong Province Armed Forces and Youth and Students Mass Arts Festival organized by the Provincial Military Command...
Many practical jobs
These days, the Hai Duong City Military Command mobilized officers, soldiers, and militia forces to support the construction of a "Great Solidarity" house for war invalid Pham Hong Hai in Zone 8, Ngoc Chau Ward (Hai Duong City). For many years, Mr. Hai has lived alone in a cramped, dilapidated level 4 house. Through the connection of the Hai Duong City Military Command, a number of agencies, units, and philanthropists have come to know and supported the cost of building a house for him. The level 4 house has a total area of 45 m2, with an estimated cost of more than 100 million VND, and will be completed in July this year. Major Nguyen Nang Giang, Political Assistant, Hai Duong City Military Command said: "Although busy with professional work, we all actively participate in supporting the construction of a house for war invalid Pham Hong Hai. This is also a meaningful activity, contributing to the effective implementation of the military rear policy".
Promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, over the past 5 years, the armed forces of Hai Duong City have continued to have many activities in the emulation movement "The Army joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind" associated with the emulation movement to win. The unit has connected to build 4 houses of gratitude, great solidarity houses for war invalids and families with difficult circumstances in the area; there have been many activities to visit and give gifts to students and families with difficult circumstances. The military forces of Hai Duong City also have many activities to participate in building civilized urban areas.
Based on the results in performing its tasks, in 2019, 2020 and 2021, the Hai Duong City Military Command was awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit by the Military Region 3 Command. In 2022, the unit was awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Ministry of National Defense. The Hai Duong City Military Party Committee was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial Party Committee for 3 consecutive years for excellently completing its tasks.
