On August 8, the working delegation of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Tuyen Quang province, led by comrade Nguyen Hoang Long, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, member of the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies, Chairman of the provincial Red Cross Society, had a working session in Thang Mo, Lung Tam and Quan Ba communes to inspect the progress of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee of the 3 communes expressed their opinions on ensuring technical standards during the process of house construction and repair; difficulties that need to be overcome, recommendations, proposals, and plans to accelerate the implementation of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune to ensure progress according to the set plan.

Accordingly, after reviewing Thang Mo commune until August 7, there were 166 newly built and repaired houses, of which 164 were newly built, 2 were repaired, and 150 were completed and put into use; Lung Tam commune reviewed on July 31, there were 95 newly built and repaired houses, of which 47 were newly built, 48 were repaired, and 87 were completed and put into use; Quan Ba commune reviewed on July 10, there were 121 newly built and repaired houses, of which 74 were newly built, 47 were repaired, and 110 were completed and put into use.

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Long, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Association, member of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in the Province, highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the Party Committees and authorities of the three communes in implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. He emphasized that supporting the construction of houses not only contributes to improving the quality of people's lives but also demonstrates the deep political commitment of the Provincial Party Committee and authorities to the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and ethnic minorities.

At the same time, it is recommended that communes continue to promote the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in propagating and mobilizing people to participate in the program; proactively remove arising difficulties; compile a list of data analysis of each unfinished house; report on the progress of house construction by day; strengthen supervision, ensure the quality of the project, the right purpose of support, publicity and transparency in the implementation process; ensure "3 hard" according to the proposed technical criteria; strive to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before August 31.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Association also visited and presented housewarming gifts to some households that had built or repaired houses in the three communes of Thang Mo, Lung Tam and Quan Ba; and presented gifts to the family of Ms. Chang Thi My, Mong ethnic group, Sung Chang village, Thang Mo commune, who is in particularly difficult circumstances.
