With a duration of 70 minutes, Alma Show brings the audience a visual feast honoring the five elements of “Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth” in the theory of the Five Elements. The elements of “Water” and “Wood” are honored in a water puppet show; “Earth” is shown through a silk dance to form a giant lotus flower; “Fire” is told through a dramatic fire sword dance by a magician trying to rescue a dancer trapped in a large burning cage. Finally, the element of “Metal” is honored in contemporary performances with impressive conical hat dances, dynamic flashmob dances and graceful Ao Dai fashion shows. Alma Show also features an Apsara dance to honor the long history of the Cham people who once lived in this land.
