Lang Son province requests to avoid congestion in import and export of goods during Tet holiday |
The Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Directive on strengthening measures to ensure the celebration of the Lunar New Year 2024.
Accordingly, the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone is responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies and units to effectively regulate and arrange vehicles transporting import and export goods through border gates in the province, avoiding congestion of goods on National Highway 1A and border gate areas before, during and after the 2024 Lunar New Year.
Along with that, the Border Guard force and the Market Management force of Lang Son province have the task of strengthening patrols, controlling, and protecting the safety of targets; coordinating with relevant forces to patrol, control, and fight against crimes, especially drug crimes and smuggling; resolutely preventing illegal entry and exit across the border and border gates;
Strictly inspect and control, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle cases of illegal production, storage, transportation, trading and use of weapons, explosives, support tools, firecrackers and dangerous toys; do not allow illegal fireworks to be set off during Tet, especially on New Year's Eve...
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son province, on January 7, at 6 road border gate areas: Huu Nghi, Chi Ma, Tan Thanh, Coc Nam, Na Hinh, Na Nua, the total number of imported and exported vehicles was 1,042 vehicles, of which 427 vehicles were exported (334 vehicles of exported fruit); 615 vehicles were imported.
The Management Board of Dong Dang Border Gate Economic Zone (Lang Son) also said that in the first week of 2024, the number of vehicles carrying import and export goods through 6 road border gates of Lang Son increased by nearly 300 vehicles compared to a month ago. On average, there are about 400 vehicles carrying export goods and about 800 vehicles carrying import goods every day.
The number of trucks carrying import and export goods increased because at this time, domestic enterprises boosted the export of fresh fruits and agricultural products. At the same time, domestic enterprises also increased the import of consumer goods, products, machinery components, etc. to serve production at the end of the year and before the Lunar New Year.
Notably, although the number of vehicles carrying import and export goods through the border gates has increased sharply, the current customs clearance time is very fast. Vehicles do not have to wait long, export procedures are completed on the same day and there is no congestion.
