After two days of 'disappearance', a series of Facebook groups have returned to normal.

After two days of being 'disturbed' by technical problems such as being locked and losing their names, the activities of Facebook groups in Vietnam have returned to normal.

According to Tuoi Tre Online on the morning of June 26, Facebook groups and associations have been unlocked and their names have been restored to their original identities, ending the chaos of the past two days. Members can now post, interact and share normally.

This development made the online community "breathe a sigh of relief", after two consecutive days of confusion because they lost track of familiar groups.

The incident began on the evening of June 24, when Facebook users in Vietnam suddenly discovered that a series of large groups had been suspended for unknown reasons. Famous groups about shopping, consumption, technology such as Shopee Vietnam Seller Community, OFFB... simultaneously fell into a "frozen" state, unable to access or interact.

By the morning of June 25, the groups were reopened one by one, but the situation was still confusing as a series of group names were changed to the default phrase "Group title pending", meaning "waiting for a group name". Although the problem was resolved quite quickly, many Facebook administrators and users were still worried.

A group that specializes in making PowerPoint slides for hire - Canva posted an announcement on June 25, expressing concern that they may have to wait up to a month to change their old name according to Facebook's regulations: "During this time, the group has temporarily stopped reviewing posts to wait for Facebook to process. We hope you understand and thank you everyone."

By the morning of June 26, the situation was resolved sooner than expected.

In response to the community's reaction, immediately after the incident on June 24, a representative of Meta - Facebook's parent company - confirmed that this was a technical error. "We have noted a technical issue that has affected some groups on Facebook. We are currently working to fix this error," a Meta spokesperson informed.

This is not the first time Facebook has encountered technical problems in 2025. Previously, other services in the Meta ecosystem such as Messenger also suffered widespread disruptions, affecting global users.

While this incident was resolved within a little over a day, such sudden disruptions continue to raise questions about the stability and responsiveness of the world's largest social media platform.
