When the song blends into life

Club members performed a Then singing and Tinh lute performance to welcome the Congress of Phu Thinh Commune Party Committee.

Established in 2023 with 7 original members, now the Phuc Luong Intergenerational Then Singing and Tinh Instrument Club has attracted 19 members who actively participate in regular activities. Although the youngest is only 40 years old, the oldest is over 70, but all are united in friendship, regardless of age or living conditions.

Here, they not only sing Then songs together, play sweet melodies on the Tinh instrument, but also share with each other everyday stories, worries, concerns, and even simple everyday dreams.

Ms. Dinh Thi Cong, Vice President of the Club, shared: Although the club still faces many difficulties in terms of funding and training equipment, all members are enthusiastic and dedicated. Every week, we organize activities on Saturday evenings, and everyone eagerly looks forward to it. This is a place for everyone to not only satisfy their passion for performing arts but also contribute to preserving the cultural beauty of the Tay people.

Then singing and Tinh playing carry within them spiritual values, life philosophy and profound humanistic spirit. Maintaining the club is not simply an entertainment activity but also an effort to preserve and teach traditional culture to generations.

In Duc Luong, the sound of Tinh lute and Then lyrics not only resound in community exchanges and activities but are also brought by members to perform and exchange with clubs inside and outside the province, such as Lang Son , Tuyen Quang... contributing to promoting the beauty of the homeland.

The special thing about the Phuc Luong Intergenerational Then and Tinh Singing Club is not only the performances and cultural and artistic exchanges, but also the place where members exchange experiences in agricultural production, household economic development, maintaining family happiness and spreading love in the community.

From the voluntary fund contributed by members, the Club has more than 10 million VND to lend to poor households at low interest rates. Thanks to that, poor households have had the conditions to invest in production development such as intensive tea cultivation, chicken and pig farming, etc., bringing in a more stable source of income.

Ms. Dao Thi Yen, one of the two poor households in the club, said: My husband passed away early, I raised my children and grandchildren alone, including a grandchild with a serious illness, the economic burden weighed heavily on my shoulders. But since joining the club, I feel like I have been given more strength. I was able to borrow 6 million VND with low interest rates to develop livestock farming, gradually overcoming difficulties and gradually stabilizing my life.

Not only supporting each other financially, in the meetings, stories about how to maintain family traditions, how to harmonize relationships between husband and wife, children, and a simple and loving lifestyle are always sincerely shared by members. Thanks to that, members are increasingly close like family members.

It is the solidarity and love for national culture that has motivated the club to grow stronger and attract more members, especially young people.

It is a place where singing blends with the rhythm of life, where music becomes a bridge of love, where each member is empowered to overcome difficulties, firmly stepping on the journey to build a prosperous, meaningful life imbued with national cultural identity.

With all their enthusiasm and community spirit, they are continuing to write a beautiful story about a group of rural women with compassion, solidarity and a desire to improve their lives. The club strives to have no poor member households this year.
