Faced with complicated weather developments, to operate the project safely and stably, Tien Thanh Hydropower Plant focuses on implementing response plans to ensure the safety of the dam and project during the flood season.

Tien Thanh Hydropower Plant regularly sends forces to check the safety of the dam.

Accordingly, the unit proactively develops a plan to prevent and control floods and storms to ensure the safety of dams and downstream areas. Strictly implement periodic dam maintenance and repair to avoid safety risks. Organize the placement of boundary markers for the protection of dams and hydroelectric reservoirs and install flood warning systems.

Dispatch forces to regularly check the safety of the dam, resolutely not allowing people to encroach on the protected area of the project, the area with restricted area signs upstream of the factory. Conduct dam and reservoir spillway clearance, regularly maintain regulating valves, repair damaged and degraded equipment, ensure stable operation of the reservoir. Arrange human resources, materials and equipment; closely monitor hydrological developments, continuously update flood forecasts to be ready with response plans according to the "4 on-site" motto.

Tien Thanh Hydropower Plant currently has 2 operating units with a total installed capacity of 15MW. The reservoir has a capacity of about 5 million ^m3, is held by a concrete gravity dam about 22m high, the spillway consists of 3 flat gate spillways, each 13.5m wide. During the rainy season, the Plant operates 24/24 at 100% of its design capacity.

Previously (from January to May 2025), due to drought and low rainfall, the plant only operated at 45% of its installed capacity. The electricity output from the beginning of the year to date reached 35.7 million KW. Revenue reached more than 29.4 billion VND.
