Inauguration of Chet Xieu bridge in Song Doc commune

On the morning of August 20, the People's Committee of Song Doc commune coordinated with the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ca Mau province to organize the inauguration ceremony of Chet Xieu bridge, Ray Moi hamlet, Song Doc commune. This is a civil project sponsored by Vietnam Petrochemical Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company with a total cost of 252 million VND.

Representatives of the sponsor and local authorities performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially putting the Chet Xieu bridge into use.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, General Director of Vietnam Petrochemical Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, along with representatives of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, local government leaders and a large number of people.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, General Director of Vietnam Petrochemical Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company spoke at the ceremony.

Chet Xieu Bridge was built with a scale of 3m wide, 26m long, solid structure, meeting the needs of traveling and transporting goods of the people in the area. Previously, people's travel encountered many difficulties because the old bridge was degraded, narrow, especially dangerous during the rainy season. The new bridge not only helps people to be more convenient in their daily life and production, but also creates conditions for students to go to school safely.

Mr. Duy Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of Song Doc Commune People's Committee, presented the "Golden Heart" Recognition Board to the sponsor.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, General Director of Vietnam Petrochemical Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, affirmed: “We are very pleased to accompany the local government to build Chet Xieu bridge, contributing to improving rural traffic infrastructure. This is a social responsibility that the enterprise always strives to fulfill, in order to spread the spirit of humanity, for the community.”

Representative of the local government, Mr. Duy Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of Song Doc Commune People's Committee, expressed: "The completion and use of Chet Xieu Bridge is the desire of the people for many years. The project not only facilitates trade but also demonstrates the golden heart of the sponsor. On behalf of the government and the people, we would like to respectfully acknowledge and express gratitude for this noble gesture."

The sponsor presented 20 gifts to poor but studious students on the occasion of the bridge inauguration.

At the bridge inauguration ceremony, the sponsor presented 20 gifts to poor but studious students (each gift included a school bag and 20 notebooks, worth 500,000 VND); presented a symbolic plaque of 1,500 notebooks to poor students of Phong Dien Secondary School 2. This is a practical source of encouragement to help students overcome difficulties and gain more motivation to go to school.

After the inauguration ceremony, Chet Xieu bridge was officially put into use in the joy of the people.

The Chet Xieu bridge project is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of social mobilization work and the support of businesses in working with the locality to care for people's lives. This is also the motivation for Song Doc commune to continue promoting new rural construction, creating an increasingly prosperous appearance.
