Speaking to reporters, a representative of the Lao Cai Province Traffic Project Management and Maintenance Board said that immediately after the landslide occurred, the unit requested the Vietnam Expressway Services Joint Stock Company (VECS) to deploy machinery and human resources to clear rocks and soil and fix the landslide.

The amount of landslides is not large, but there is a risk of further landslides on the hillside, so it needs to be thoroughly addressed. It is expected that the road will be cleared by mid-afternoon to serve people's travel.

Currently, on Provincial Road 162 (Quy Xa Road), there are still 2 major landslides that appeared in September 2024 (after storm No. 3) that have not been completely repaired, causing many difficulties for people to travel.

To travel from Tang Loong commune to Van Ban commune, vehicles will move in the direction: Tang Loong commune - Provincial road 151 (Vo Lao) - Khe Lech bridge (National Highway 279) - turn right to Van Ban commune.
