On July 5, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board in coordination with T20 Quyet Thang Company Limited officially opened the "Legendary Truong Son Road - Commander Cave" eco-tourism area at km12, Road 20 Quyet Thang, Phong Nha commune, new Quang Tri province (formerly Quang Binh province).
This is a product included in the project to develop eco -tourism , resorts and entertainment of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in the period of 2021 - 2030 according to the decision of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province (old).

The highlight of the tourist area is the Command Cave, the strategic logistics base of Command 559 during the resistance war against the US, where thousands of tons of equipment, food and weapons were hidden.
The cave is 150 m long, 100 m wide, and consists of 7 functional floors. It is vividly recreated through exhibition areas and virtual reality experiences, helping visitors "relive" the arduous but heroic years of Truong Son.

The journey of discovery begins at "Road K", a hidden road under the canopy of dense forest, where construction tools for Road 20 Quyet Thang are displayed, recreating the efforts of tens of thousands of soldiers, youth volunteers and frontline workers.
Places such as Hang 8 Thanh Nien Xung Phong, Ba Thang slope, Tra Ang… are also introduced as vivid historical evidence.

The display areas in the cave simulate the logistics system with weapons, military uniforms, medical equipment, communication equipment... The last floor is the resting space for officers and soldiers - a place to store items left over from the war.

In particular, the virtual reality projection area integrated with 9D technology helps visitors experience the feeling of driving a Zil-131 through bombs and bullets on Route 20 Quyet Thang. The projections simulate from fierce battle scenes to moments of peace, helping viewers fully feel the sacrifice and rebirth of this sacred land.

The tourist area aims to not only diversify tourism products, but also spread the meaning of historical education, environmental protection and local economic development. The product is expected to grow at least 5%/year and become a prominent destination of new Quang Tri tourism.

According to Mr. Nguyen Chau My, General Director of T20 Quyet Thang Company, this tourism product is a way to retell the war story using modern technology, helping the younger generation understand and feel the heroic past of the nation. For veteran Nguyen Huy Du, this is a "convincing solution" to pass on the memories of Truong Son in a realistic and humane way.
