On July 2, Informa Markets Vietnam Company, with the support of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Automation Association and a number of other units, organized the opening ceremony of the 21st International Exhibition on Precision Engineering and Manufacturing - MTA Vietnam 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
MTA Vietnam 2025 attracts more than 500 exhibitors from 21 countries and territories, including the UK, Austria, India, Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea, the United States, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Japan, France, Finland, Singapore, Thailand, Switzerland, China, etc. This year's exhibitors focus on introducing advanced machinery technologies, modern manufacturing trends, smart automation solutions and sustainable innovation orientations, with the expectation of opening the next chapters for the journey of industrialization in Vietnam.
According to Mr. Ben Wong, General Director of Informa Markets Vietnam, MTA Vietnam 2025 takes place from now until July 4, besides displaying and introducing products, it is also a place to create long-term value for the Vietnamese manufacturing community through a variety of in-depth connection and transfer activities based on a practical dialogue platform between businesses, experts and policy-making agencies.
One of the important highlights at MTA Vietnam 2025 is a series of large-scale seminars and thematic events, focusing on key areas such as semiconductors, automation, precision measurement, manufacturing technology and supporting industries.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, said that MTA Vietnam is increasingly affirming its position as a leading international connection and trade platform in the precision engineering and manufacturing industry through focusing on building the Business Matching program, a 1:1 direct connection event between businesses and domestic and foreign exhibitors at the exhibition. This is a strategic bridge to help businesses seek trade opportunities, negotiate directly and develop long-term cooperative relationships.
“Always innovating to keep up with the development speed of the global manufacturing industry, MTA Vietnam also constantly upgrades its scale, refreshes its content and diversifies its activities to accompany the precision engineering and manufacturing industries. The exhibition continues to accelerate in scale but does not forget to deepen its value for the business community, visitors… through a series of multi-dimensional seminars,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc added.
In the strategy to restructure the industry and trade sector by 2030, the processing and manufacturing industry is expected to become a pillar of the economy , aiming to account for 30% of GDP by 2030. However, to realize this goal, businesses need to accelerate technological innovation, accelerate digital transformation and develop smart production models.
From the association's perspective, Mr. Nguyen Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association, pointed out that MTA Vietnam continues to deploy a specialized exhibition area VINRA (Vietnam Industrial Robotics and Automation Event) converging advanced robotics and automation solutions from leading brands, demonstrating an understanding of the digital transformation context that is reshaping the entire manufacturing ecosystem. At the same time, the robot market in Vietnam is on a strong growth trajectory, reflecting the urgent need for automation in many fields such as automobiles, electronics, heavy industry, etc. /.
