Attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition were Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors, and organizations of the province; artisans, collectors, members of the Gia Lai Bonsai Art Club; Board of Directors, teachers, and a large number of students of Le Loi High School, Sao Viet Primary - Secondary - High School.

With about 250 artifacts, images, and documents, the exhibition “Soul of the Earth” is a journey back in time, taking viewers to explore the formation, development, and quintessence of Vietnamese ceramics - from the early days to the present. Through the systematic display of documents and artifacts, viewers can see that Vietnam is one of the countries where the ceramic profession appeared quite early (about ten thousand years ago). With creativity and skillful hands, absorbing and transforming the quintessence of ceramic techniques from many different cultures to shape the traditional and indigenous ceramic art of Vietnam.

The exhibition "Soul of the Earth" in addition to the artifacts of the Museum, also has the participation of 7 "veteran" collectors in the field of collecting and preserving the values of Vietnamese antiques in the western areas of Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces. The exhibition consists of 4 parts: From terracotta to pottery - the journey of transformation of the earth; Glazed ceramics - The quintessence of pottery; Ceramics in the flow of modern life; Corner of experiencing handmade pottery by ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. With the collections, artifacts, and antiques of the collectors, visitors can have an overview of pottery in Vietnam, following a journey of discovery that began about ten thousand years ago, when ancient Vietnamese people knew how to exploit clay to make ceramic products to serve their lives.

With the theme “The Green of the Great Forest”, Gia Lai Bonsai Club brings to this exhibition nearly 100 works, honoring the eternal beauty of nature and the immortal spirit of the nation, especially with works imbued with the identity of the Central Highlands, the three-leaf pine. Each bonsai work participating in the exhibition is the crystallization of the skillful hands, creativity and love of bonsai of many artisans across the country. Each tree shape and form not only shows the harmonious beauty between nature and art, but also contains a philosophy of life: steadfast, steadfast, and rising strongly in the face of all challenges.

The exhibition takes place from August 29 to September 15 at Pleiku Museum, through the exhibitions "Soul of the Land" and "Greenness of the Great Forest" to honor traditional cultural values, arouse love and awareness of heritage conservation; create conditions for artisans, collectors and the public to meet, exchange and share experiences, thereby contributing to promoting the image of Gia Lai land and people in particular, Vietnam in general to domestic and international friends.
