Opening of the Ha Temple, Thuong Temple, and Y La Temple Festivals in 2024

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong and delegates participated in the procession of Mau to Ha Temple.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Yen, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, Director of the Center for Research and Preservation of Vietnamese Cultural Beliefs; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; delegates from districts and cities in and outside the province; representatives of communes and wards in the city, along with a large number of people and tourists from all over the country. The festival was broadcast live on the platforms of Tuyen Quang Newspaper.

Ha Temple, Thuong Temple, Y La Temple - national historical and cultural relics bearing the sacredness of the long-standing Mother Goddess worship in Tuyen Quang city. With unique cultural and spiritual values, on January 23, 2017, the Ha Temple, Thuong Temple, Y La Temple Festival was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Leaders of Tuyen Quang city awarded certificates to organizations and individuals who sponsored and contributed to the restoration of relics.

The festival is an opportunity for the people of all ethnic groups in Tuyen Quang city to respectfully express their gratitude to the merits of the Holy Mother to the ethnic communities living in the area. At the same time, it preserves and promotes the fine traditional cultural values of the nation that have been recognized, meeting the religious needs of the people who aspire for a better life. Through the festival, spiritual tourism of Tuyen Quang city will be promoted.

This year's festival is organized at the city level with activities related to the worship of the Three Palaces such as: the procession of the Mother Goddess's palanquin from Y La Temple, Upper Temple to Lower Temple, and the offering and return ceremony. In addition, the festival will bring to the people and visitors from all over the world a diverse cultural space with many activities such as introducing the worship of the Three Palaces of the Vietnamese people, dragon dance, lion dance, singing, cultural exchange, sports competitions, and folk games.
