On June 19, the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Press Festival with the theme "Loyal, creative, courageous, and innovative Vietnamese press for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland" took place at the National Convention Center (Hanoi).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, said that over the past 100 years, the Vietnamese press has always raised the fighting flag, contributing to the Vietnamese revolutionary process and the cause of national liberation.

When the goal of independence and freedom has become a reality, the Vietnamese press still maintains its mission as a pioneer soldier on the ideological and cultural front; contributing to promoting economic development, cultural revival, and building Vietnam into a strong, prosperous, democratic, and civilized society.

The press conference is also an opportunity to honor the contributions and achievements of the press, thereby affirming the pioneering role and responsibility of journalists, so that they can be inspired with passion for the profession and firmly step on the chosen path, which is to serve the people and the country.

“The 2025 National Press Festival has many new features with modern exhibition and display activities, along with rich and attractive cultural and artistic programs. With 130 booths displaying outstanding press publications, typical of more than 124 central press agencies and all levels of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

This year, the 2025 National Press Festival has dedicated a central space to display the theme "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press: Achievements and trends in press development in the new era". The 2025 National Press Festival also brings to the public, journalists and members quality professional activities through: The 2nd National Press Forum with 10 discussion sessions and 2 opening and closing sessions on hot topics of interest to the press such as: Vietnamese press in the new era: Vision for creating development space; Female leaders in journalism: Women's voices in news management; Conquering Gen Z readers: Decoding the formula for success; Artificial intelligence and digital transformation strategies of Vietnamese press offices; Data journalism in Vietnamese news offices; Television adapts to the new media environment; What mechanism for radio to develop in the current period?; Revenue sources in the digital age: Not just advertising, newspapers must sell more!; Personalizing content to keep readers loyal; Resolution 18 and the requirement for innovation in press personnel.
