Roller Sports 2025 National Championships and Age Group Championships Opening Ceremony

VHO - On the morning of August 17, at the National Sports Complex (Hanoi), the 2025 National Championship and National Age Group Championship for Roller Sports officially opened.

The event was held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, and continued to respond to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

The tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and the Vietnam Skating and Roller Federation.

Mr. Pham Xuan Tai - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Head of the Organizing Committee gave the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Xuan Tai - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized: "This tournament is not only the pinnacle playground of Roller Sports Vietnam but also ignites the flame of passion, aspiration to rise and spread the spirit of solidarity, bravery and creativity of athletes in the integration period.

Roller Sports is a sport that combines speed, technique, strength and endurance, requiring perseverance and constant breakthroughs. From today's slides, we believe that there will be more talents to shine, contributing to raising the position of our country's sports in the international arena."

The tournament witnessed eye-catching competitions.

The National Championship is considered the highest arena of Roller Sports Vietnam, gathering more than 200 athletes from 12 provinces and cities including Bac Ninh , Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Son La and Hanoi.

Athletes will compete in many events including Speed Roller Skates, Artistic Roller Skates and Skateboarding. Through the tournament, experts will evaluate the quality of training and coaching in localities and select forces for the national team, aiming for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in December 2025.

This is a good opportunity for athletes to learn and compete.

This year is also the third time the National Age Group Roller Sports Championship has been held, creating opportunities for young athletes to compete, practice their skills and improve their achievements, while accumulating experience to prepare for major tournaments in the future.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will award gold, silver, bronze medals and certificates to athletes with outstanding achievements, along with an Encouragement Prize for Fourth Place.

In particular, right after the tournament, on August 18, the Vietnam Skating and Roller Federation will coordinate with the National Sports Complex and the Vietnam Olympic Committee to organize a training course on artificial intelligence for coaches and athletes with the participation of Mr. Dang Ngoc Thuyen - General Director of ASANA Consulting and Development Joint Stock Company.
