According to RT, in a written interview with Le Monde published on July 10, Foreign Minister Araghchi condemned the attacks by Israel and the US on Iran's nuclear facilities as a violation of international law and said that it was the US that "broke" the negotiations.

However, he added that Tehran remained committed to diplomacy but stressed that any resumed talks must be based on mutual respect and, most importantly, "ensure there are no more military attacks against Iran".
Minister Araghchi added that diplomatic exchanges are still underway through intermediaries.
The US State Department said this week that President Donald Trump remains committed to peace with Iran. “Our commitment has been steadfast through conflict, and now is the time for Iran to take advantage of that,” spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told reporters.
Washington has long demanded that Tehran halt all uranium enrichment activities, a stance Iran considers a violation of the deal. Mr. Araghchi reiterated that the country's nuclear program is peaceful, legal and regularly monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Iran's foreign minister also ruled out any discussion of the country's ballistic missile program, stressing that the program is "purely defensive and deterrent", and that "it is unreasonable to expect Iran to give up its defensive capabilities" under current conditions.
