Provincial People's Committee meeting: Approved 29 draft documents

On the afternoon of June 11, comrade Huynh Chi Nguyen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Provincial People's Committee members to review and contribute opinions on the content of the draft resolution submission of the People's Council, decisions, plans, and documents under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, representatives of assigned departments and branches presented 29 drafts, including: Draft Report of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the socio -economic development plan in the first 6 months of the year and directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the last 6 months of 2025.

According to the report, in the first 6 months of 2025, the total output of aquaculture and fisheries is estimated at 236,051 tons, up 6.53%; harvested rice output is 739,850 tons, up 15.11% over the same period. The tasks of implementing the Vietnam - Bac Lieu Salt Festival were successfully organized. Industrial production continued to recover and develop. The industrial production development index is estimated to increase by 3.96% over the same period in the first 6 months. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue is estimated at 43,802.91 billion VND, reaching 50.06% of the plan. Export turnover is estimated at 503.57 million USD, reaching 39.84% of the plan. As of June 9, 2025, public investment capital in 2025 was disbursed at VND 704,716/4,349,194 billion, reaching 16.2% of the plan. Total social investment capital in the first 6 months is estimated at VND 16,285 billion, reaching 43.62% of the plan, up 14.76% over the same period.

In particular, the province has implemented support for the construction and renovation of 1,758 houses for poor and near-poor households living in temporary or dilapidated houses; and the construction of 176 new houses for poor households of ethnic minorities, completing 100% of the set plan.

Contributing to the draft Decision of the Provincial People's Committee approving the investment policy and approving the investor of the high-tech shrimp seed production project of the Bac Lieu Vietnam - America Shrimp Seed Joint Stock Company, delegates said that it is necessary to carefully study the State's regulations before allocating land to the Company to implement the project to avoid problems after implementation. Directing on this content, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Chi Nguyen emphasized: Although the province always welcomes companies and enterprises to invest in localities with many difficulties in the province, it must ensure compliance with policies and guidelines, especially in site clearance and compensation for households whose land is located in the planned area where the project is expected to be implemented. Therefore, the Department of Finance needs to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to clarify the unclear contents, as well as work with the Company and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee as soon as possible.

The remaining drafts: The Provincial People's Committee's submission to register the development of a Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution 13/2017/NQ-HDND dated December 7, 2017 of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council on promulgating regulations on working fee regimes and expenditure regimes for organizing meetings in the province; the draft Decision of the Provincial People's Committee approving the investment policy of the Dong Hai 3 Wind Power Plant Project - Phase 1 in Dong Hai district, Bac Lieu province; the draft Plan of the Provincial People's Committee to implement Plan 183-KH/TU dated April 29, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to implement Conclusion 115-KL/TW of the Politburo "on continuing to implement Resolution 39-NQ/TW, dated January 15, 2019 of the 12th Politburo on improving the efficiency of management, exploitation, use and promotion of economic resources"; The draft Plan of the Provincial People's Committee to update and supplement the economic growth scenario of Bac Lieu province in 2025; the draft Proposal of the Provincial People's Committee and the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the principles, scope, support levels and use of funds to support production and protect rice-growing land in Bac Lieu province; the draft Proposal of the Provincial People's Committee submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council for permission to develop a Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on supplementing the Price List of land types in Bac Lieu province for the period 2020 - 2024... were all unanimously approved by the members attending the meeting.
