The MV is a bold move by Hong Nhung, marking a change in genre, performance style and creative thinking after a major health incident.
At the age of over 50, with an artistic journey spanning over 40 years, the Vietnamese music diva is still constantly renewing herself. Tu cau is a unique combination of artistic identity and the pioneering spirit of an artist who is not afraid to experiment.

One of the special highlights of Tu moi is the collaboration between Hong Nhung and young artists such as Trung Tran, Lope Pham and director Phuong Vu. With close and lively lyrics, the song reflects Hong Nhung's insight into the pace of modern life, where people easily lose connection with themselves amid the whirlwind of technology and social networks. " Tu moi is a catchy, modern song but still retains depth in meaning and emotion. I feel lucky to be able to experiment with new things in my own music with talented young collaborators," said the singer.

At the press conference to launch the MV, Hong Nhung shared publicly for the first time about her journey fighting cancer. The Vietnamese music diva appeared radiant but did not hide the moments of weakness she had experienced. "People often say that I am a positive inspiration in my 40 years of career, which made me think it was true. But when the incident happened, I realized that the positive energy I have comes from the love and encouragement of everyone around me," Hong Nhung confided.

"Music has helped me a lot. From the first moments when I heard the news, music was where I turned to relieve my anxiety. The melodies and lyrics helped me feel at peace. Moreover, the love from the audience, from family and friends was a great source of encouragement. Every message, every handwritten letter I received, every sympathetic look was like a reminder that I was not alone. This helped me to be stronger in this fight."

Even though she had surgery just a month before filming the MV, the singer was still determined to complete the difficult scenes with the help of painkillers. In the early days of treatment, Hong Nhung burst into tears because she could not sing and had difficulty hitting high notes. But with passion and relentless effort, Hong Nhung's singing voice returned to normal.
"After the life event, I sing differently because I have changed as a person. For me, singing now is an enjoyment," she shared emotionally. That is also the reason why Hong Nhung abandoned all the masters she had done in Italy before to record a completely new version with the help of musician Thanh Tam.

Currently, Hong Nhung has completed her radiation therapy and is in the recovery phase. Every day, she takes medication as directed by her doctor.
This music project, according to the singer, is an introspective journey, a way for her to talk to herself and spread the spirit of love, gratitude, and hope. Hong Nhung does not expect Tu Qua to reach any specific audience, because the most important thing is that the artist continues to be creative and live true to his or her emotions.
