More than 2,700 delegates attend the United Nations Vesak Day in Vietnam

The United Nations Day of Vesak took place from May 6 to 8 in Ho Chi Minh City with the theme: "Solidarity and Tolerance for Human Dignity: Buddhist Wisdom for World Peace and Sustainable Development."

More than 2,700 delegates attended, including about 1,300 international delegates from 85 countries/territories around the world, together spreading the message of peace , humanity and sustainable development from Buddhist wisdom to the whole world.

The 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak, co-organized by the International Organizing Committee for the United Nations Day of Vesak (ICDV) and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, is a meaningful international cultural diplomacy event of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

This is the fourth time Vietnam has hosted the event, previously in Hanoi (2008), Ninh Binh (2014) and Ha Nam (2019)./.
