This year's tournament brings together more than 150 male and female players from 17 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide, including: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Da Nang, Hai Phong, Army, Bac Ninh, Dien Bien, Dong Thap, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Lam Dong, Hue City, Tay Ninh, Tuyen Quang and host Dong Nai.
Players compete in 5 events: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
This year's tournament promises to be exciting with the participation of top Vietnamese tennis players such as: Nguyen Tien Minh, Le Duc Phat, Nguyen Hai Dang (men's singles), Nguyen Thuy Linh, Tran Thi Phuong Thuy, Vu Thi Trang (women's singles), Tran Dinh Manh, Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Pham Van Hai, Than Van Anh, Pham Thi Khanh, Pham Thi Dieu Ly, Nguyen Tien Tuan (doubles),...
Notably, in the women's singles event, Vietnam's number 1 tennis player - Nguyen Thuy Linh of host Dong Nai is rated the highest.
The 1997-born player is also a top candidate for the championship and she will be determined to defend the women's individual championship she achieved in 2024.
In the men's singles, the two highest-rated players are Duc Phat and Hai Dang. In addition, legend Nguyen Tien Minh is also competing and promises to be a formidable opponent.
The organizers said the tournament is the most important in the national badminton tournament system with the participation of excellent players.
The tournament is also an opportunity for players to exchange, learn, improve their professional skills, and contribute to the development of Vietnamese badminton.
At the same time, the tournament is an opportunity for Dong Nai province to promote its image, people, potential and advantages for socio -economic development.
The tournament will run until August 16 with finals in each event.
