This afternoon, September 24, in Dong Ha City, the Steering Committee for External Information of Quang Tri Province held a conference on external information and propaganda in 2024. At the conference, delegates who were leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; officials in charge of foreign information work at provincial and district levels; central and provincial Party Committee reporters; reporters and editors in charge of foreign information... listened to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Dinh Quy, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs , former Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations present on the following topics: Current world situation; East Sea situation; Some major foreign policies and activities of our Party and State.
Accordingly, the world situation in recent years continues to evolve rapidly, complexly and unpredictably. Peace, cooperation and association for development are still the major trends of the times but are facing serious challenges. The competition for military power between major countries continues to increase comprehensively, urgent global issues are increasingly difficult to deal with. The Ukraine issue is complicated, difficult to control, and has a profound impact on the world situation.
To effectively respond to changes in the world and regional situation by 2030, according to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Dinh Quy, Vietnam needs to synchronously implement many policies, focusing on enhancing the country's overall strength and resilience to external shocks.
Effectively implement breakthroughs in building and perfecting institutions, developing human resources and infrastructure, but with a more focused and appropriate approach to new requirements for digital transformation, green transformation and more effective integration into the region and the world.
Improve the efficiency of resource use, minimize loss and waste. In foreign affairs, promptly handle emerging issues in accordance with the motto "respond to all changes with the constant". Strive to deepen relations with partners, especially partners of essential importance to Vietnam's security and development...
Through the conference, delegates were provided with a lot of information about the recent world and regional situation and the foreign policy and viewpoints of our Party and State.
Thereby helping to raise awareness, contributing to more effectively implementing the task of foreign information work in localities and units in the current context; actively participating in foreign affairs activities; introducing and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam, Quang Tri province to international friends.
