Singapore Government Scholarship 2025 accepting applications from February 10

(Dan Tri) - The Singapore Government Scholarship 2025 will accept applications for more than 2 months, from February 10 to April 21 for students in grades 8-10 in Vietnam.

Information about the Singapore Government Scholarship, also known as the ASEAN Scholarship for Vietnamese students, is posted on the website of the Ministryof Education of this country. The eligibility criteria are Vietnamese citizens, born between January 2, 2009 and January 1, 2012, that is, studying in grades 8 to 10.

Students need to be fluent in English, have excellent academic performance and a good record of extracurricular activities.

Scholarship applications are accepted from February 10 and close on April 21.

Candidates who pass the preliminary round will be called to participate in the 2-round selection exam at centralized testing locations in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. The Admissions Committee will only notify candidates selected through each round.

The written test is expected to take place in June, the interview round will take place in August and the scholarship results will be announced by email in September.

Successful candidates will go to Singapore in November to study 2 years of secondary school and 2 years of university preparation at public schools designated by the Singapore Government. After 4 years, students will be awarded the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level certificate or equivalent.

The ASEAN Scholarship announcement did not specify the number of scholarships or the scholarship amount. However, in previous years, an average of 30-40 Vietnamese students received this scholarship.

The scholarship is renewable annually based on student performance and covers full tuition fees, initial financial support, living allowance and hostel accommodation, GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees, medical insurance, accident insurance and return economy class airfare.
