From the great significance of the program, designer Thoa Tran decided to bring a collection called Long Co Hung Vi - Tien Rong Hoi Tu and Ngu Lien Huong.
Thoa Tran shared: "The designs are a symphony of silk, patterns and colors, depicting the sacred soul of the nation through the lens of contemporary art, connecting tradition, modernity and future aspirations.
Ao dai is not only a costume but also an intangible cultural heritage. It is a symbol of femininity, elegance and Vietnamese spirit, associated with every historical period from traditional to modern. When combined with lotus flowers - ao dai becomes the language of Vietnamese soul, beauty and intelligence. I want to convey the message that wherever Vietnamese people go, they still carry a lotus in their hearts - the Vietnamese soul spreading its fragrance among the five continents.
Ambassador Nguyen Phu Binh - Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said: "Many countries around the world are facing serious consequences of climate change. Right in Vietnam, last year super typhoon Yagi caused severe damage to both people and nature - leaving a profound warning about our living environment. We believe that Returning Footsteps will be a place for the Vietnamese community everywhere to join hands for a green Vietnam."
Deputy Organizing Committee member Le Thuy Hanh shared: "I believe that every child living abroad, when returning to their homeland, brings with them a part of love, a part of memories and a part of the desire to contribute. The return is the resonance of those desires - to together light up a green, peaceful, affectionate and eternal Vietnam."
