Miss Vietnam 2024 challenges her courage with the Central region's weather

On the afternoon of June 13, in Hue City, the Organizing Committee of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest held a press conference to officially announce the activities of the final round. Speaking at the event, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee - said: The contest was launched in 2024 but officially entered the most important round in 2025. This is the first time in 37 years that a Miss Vietnam season has lasted from one year to the next.

In particular, choosing the ancient capital of Hue - a land of heritage, imbued with cultural depth - as the venue for the final night is a symbolic decision of the Organizing Committee. The four pillars of values: Beauty - Culture - Intelligence - Dedication will resonate with the quiet, delicate beauty of Hue, to honor Vietnamese beauty in a traditional space rich in identity.

After nearly a month at the “common house”, the 25 best contestants have constantly trained their physique, catwalk skills, ensemble performances and communication skills to be ready to shine. They have also actively participated in cultural activities, community exchanges and volunteering – notably a cooking program for more than 300 people supporting patients and their families at Hue Central Hospital.

However, Hue is entering a period of unusual weather, with prolonged heavy rain and rising water levels causing many difficulties for the organization. The final night scheduled for June 14 had to be rescheduled; it is now expected to take place on June 27.

However, the Organizing Committee affirmed: "The contestants have perfected their appearance, and have been carefully prepared in terms of intelligence and courage to be ready to explode when the final night officially takes place."

At the press conference, answering questions from reporters from Vietnam Law Newspaper about how contestants maintain their appearance and spirit in the harsh weather conditions, the Organizing Committee and the Jury affirmed that this is a "natural test" of bravery.

Poet and journalist Tran Huu Viet – Head of the Jury – shared: “We do not create pressure, but in special circumstances, each girl must overcome challenges to grow up. The days back home with their families will be a precious moment for them to look back on their past journey, preparing firmly for the behavioral round.”

One of the special highlights of the final night was the elaborate live stage, inspired by the image of a pearl on the surface of the Perfume River – a symbol of the sparkling beauty of the heritage area. To realize this idea, hundreds of tons of equipment were installed, with a grandstand system with a capacity of 6,000 people, continuously constructed for many days with the highest technical and safety requirements.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee expressed: "Hue City has organized many major cultural events at Ngo Mon, Dai Noi... but the Huong River - the pride of Hue people - has not been exploited to its full potential. With Miss Vietnam, we hope to bring this river into the cultural story, creating a unique highlight in the heart of the ancient capital".

Not simply a beauty pageant, Miss Vietnam 2024 in Hue is expected to be a harmonious symphony between modern and traditional beauty, between the soul of Vietnamese women and the depth of a thousand-year culture. The organizers believe: The most courageous girls, beautiful in both appearance and soul, will shine in the heart of Hue - the place that "preserves the soul of the nation".
