According to the Thai Nguyen Province Hydrometeorological Station, the flood situation on the Cau River is complicated due to the impact of heavy rain over a large area, including the inland and upstream areas. In the next 6-24 hours, the flood on the Cau River will gradually subside, however, it is necessary to be on guard against the possibility of the flood rising again due to heavy rain.

The hydrometeorological agency warns of a high risk of flash floods, landslides, riverbank erosion, and flooding in low-lying areas, especially along rivers, streams, and vulnerable areas such as high slopes, dumping sites, and weak dykes.
Rising floodwaters have caused deep flooding in many places in Thai Nguyen City, Pho Yen City, Dong Hy District, Phu Binh District... The flooding level is generally 0.5 - 1m, some places are over 2m deep. The flooding lasts 12 - 24 hours, even longer in low-lying areas and low terrain.
Many areas of pontoon bridges, spillways, spillways and dykes along the lower reaches of the Cau River pose potential risks to people's lives and property as well as production and circulation of goods.
Inspecting some key points in the province on June 21, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee requested functional units to focus on protecting key positions along the entire dike and embankment route. At the same time, urgently deploy disaster response plans to minimize human and property damage.
The leaders of Thai Nguyen province also directed all levels and sectors to strengthen inspection and review of the entire dyke and embankment system during the current period when water levels in Cau and Cong rivers tend to rise, promptly detecting and handling incidents according to the "four on-site" motto.
