The Van family in Da Nang City originated mainly from the three provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh , and Thanh Hoa, and has been established in the land of Quang Nam - Da Nang (old) for more than 550 years. In order to strengthen family ties and strengthen solidarity among brothers, in 1990 the Van family council in Quang Nam - Da Nang was established.
Over the past 35 years, the Van Quang Nam - Da Nang Clan Council (now the Van Da Nang City Clan) together with 14 Van clan councils and descendants have constantly united, loved each other, and supported each other. At the same time, many filial acts have been carried out to preserve family traditions and connect descendants.
Specifically, the family organizes longevity celebrations and supports the elderly; establishes a mutual fund to visit and help descendants of the family when they are sick or in trouble; encourages learning and talent, promptly encourages children to achieve high academic results, and supports students in difficult circumstances to go to school with peace of mind.

On average, each year, the Van Family Council of Da Nang City commends and rewards more than 600 students; of which more than 200 students pass the university entrance exam and achieve excellent student results at the district level or higher, with a total award amount of more than 300 million VND.
The Van Family Council of Da Nang City also organized many meaningful activities such as the Van Family Student Congress of Quang Nam - Da Nang (old); The Van Family Daughters and Brides Festival of Quang Nam - Da Nang (old); Seminar on the history of the formation and development of the Van Family in the new land of Quang Nam...
In particular, 200 copies of the Van Family Genealogy in Quang Nam - Da Nang have been printed, outlining the journey of the Van family from the time of founding their career in the new land to the present day (more than 200 pages thick), compiled by journalist Nguyen Huu Dong - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Da Nang Newspaper and Radio and Television.
