Initially, he was diagnosed with kidney stones. However, after re-examination, the number 1 goalkeeper of the Vietnamese team was determined to have suffered severe intestinal bruising, possibly related to the landing in the second leg of the ASEAN Cup final.
Coach Kim Sang-sik asked about his health and wished his student a speedy recovery. It is known that Dinh Trieu could be discharged from the hospital before Tet. "I'm fine, everyone don't have to worry," Dinh Trieu told VietNamNet.
Without Dinh Trieu, Hai Phong suffered a 0-1 defeat to Quang Nam in the match of round 10 of LPBank V-League 2024/25 on the evening of January 19 at Lach Tray Stadium.
At the ASEAN Cup, Dinh Trieu started 6/8 matches, only conceding 6 goals, including 3 clean sheets. He was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament by the Organizing Committee.
